I've been all over the web and found the utilities that will allow OSX to read an NTFS drive, but none that will allow me to format the drive to NTFS from my Mac. Is it possible?
Thanks

Mac Os X Format Hard Drive Ntfs Drive
Nov 19, 2019 When using Mac OS 10.6, it is possible to write on an NTFS drive, even without installing third-party drivers. However, the write support in the OS settings is not active. Therefore, SL-NTFS software acts as an interface for the Mac OS 10.6 NTFS drivers hence allowing writing permissions for a drive in NTFS format. To format an external hard drive for Mac with Time Machine, you must follow the steps below. Mac os will not read flash drive. Step 1 Open Finder, Applications, then go to Utilities and Disk Utility. Step 2 Follow the steps above to format the drive, and then you can use it with Time Machine on your Mac system. Part 3: Bonus Tip – Data Recovery from Formatted Hard Drive on Mac.
But no further. Where, I am seeing “Instruction” links, for Mac Operating System, for as far back as Mac OS X 10.7. Mac os 10.6 8 erase hard drive. Where and with working to reformat my new HD, I have been directed to base “Support” and then 'Knowledge Base Answer ID 3865.
